Seven Bridges documents architecture and structures along the popular Shimanami Kaido route in Japan.
 
In the summer of 2013 freelance photographer Malena Persson walked along the Shimanami Kaido; bridge hopping from the small island of Shikoku to the much larger island of Honshu. While most do this trip by bicycle or motorbike, I decided to do the stretch by foot. The three day hike allowed the time needed to properly document the bridges, as well as buildings and constructions along the way.
